Introducing multi-layered fraud prevention in document processing

At MeasureOne, fraud prevention runs deep, and it’s woven into everything we do. Our platform is designed to be flexible, offering multiple ways to complete a verification or data request, all while keeping your business safeguarded against fraud across the enterprise. From validating direct data connections to matching paystub details against bank deposits, we’re already helping companies stay ahead of evolving schemes. Now we’re bringing that same expertise to document processing, adding another powerful layer of protection to help you make faster, smarter, and more trustworthy decisions.

Fraud detection is no longer a luxury. It’s a necessity for businesses that rely on consumer-submitted documents for decisions. Whether you're verifying income, insurance, employment, or identity, one fraudulent submission can create significant downstream risk.

That’s why we’ve launched multi-layered fraud prevention: a robust enhancement to our document processing solution, built to help your team verify documents with deeper intelligence and accuracy.

Our approach to fraud detection: What we verify

This new feature applies a layered approach to document validation, cross-referencing submissions against a repository of millions of verified documents and using a multi-dimensional fraud detection system:

  • Structure Validation: Every document is analyzed to ensure it follows the expected layout and template. For example, if a user submits an ADP paystub, we confirm that it matches the authentic ADP format, down to layout and design.
  • Data Consistency: We evaluate the internal logic of the document. Does the stated income align with the user's job title and employer? Do all fields make sense together? Inconsistencies are flagged automatically.
  • Identity Verification: Documents submitted by the same user are cross-referenced for PII consistency. This ensures that all personal information aligns across forms, preventing identity manipulation.
  • Font Analysis (PDFs): Subtle font discrepancies can indicate tampering. Our system verifies that fonts match the known standards for the document type, surfacing any red flags.
  • Metadata Integrity (PDFs): We go beyond what’s visible. Our checks include PDF metadata inspection to catch document edits or manipulation that traditional reviews might miss.

Why it matters

Fraud is growing more sophisticated, and you shouldn’t rely on manual review processes to keep up. Our layered fraud checks automate the work of multiple layers of manual inspection, empowering your team to process documents faster while reducing risk.

With this enhancement, you move from basic document capture to intelligent document verification, where every submission is not just processed but proven.
